HOT HEAD is a fictional hot-sauce brand. Plutus built this site to show what a modern shop for a food brand looks like: a cart, a checkout, EU-style food labelling and interactive content. The sauces, prices, sauce recipes, producer and address are not real. Nothing can be bought.

The name

The name HOT HEAD was chosen for this demo. Real businesses with similar names exist, such as the Hot Head Burritos restaurant chain in the US and the Hot-Headz hot-sauce shop in the UK. This site has no connection to any of them.

Orders and payment

  • The checkout is a simulation. There is no real payment, no card field and nothing is sent anywhere.
  • The Stripe test card shown (4242 4242 4242 4242) is a public test number Stripe publishes for development. It cannot pay for anything.
  • No order will ever be delivered.

Your data

  • Your cart and the details you enter at checkout stay only in your browser (local storage). Nobody else sees them.
  • Delete the order data with the button on the confirmation page, or by clearing your browser data.
  • The site uses no tracking cookies and no analytics.

Labels and heat

Ingredients, allergens, nutrition values and label marks are shown the way a real producer would have to show them under Regulation (EU) 1169/2011. The values are typical for sauces of this kind but are examples. Scoville figures are estimates for the finished sauce. The site makes no claim that the sauces have any effect on health.

The producer shown (HOT HEAD, Radnička cesta, 10000 Zagreb, Hrvatska) does not exist. The street is real; the house number is left out on purpose.

Story and recipes

  • The story of the harvest, six weeks of fermentation and numbered batches is part of the fictional brand.
  • Scoville values for the peppers (jalapeño, habanero, Carolina Reaper and others) are real and come from public sources. Values for our sauces are estimates.
  • The classics on the recipes page are short versions of well-known dishes, in our own words, linked to their sources. The chefs and restaurants named have no connection to this site and do not endorse it.

Images

The campaign, packaging and merchandise photos are AI-assisted visualisations of the brand system, not photos of real products. The bottles, labels, mascot and logo on the site are vector illustrations made by Plutus. The logo and headings use Titan One (SIL Open Font License).
